Assistant Accountant<p>Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting a new role of Assistant Accountant for a well known, reputable organisation based in Leeds City Centre. This newly created role offers the chance for the successful candidate to progress and develop their career working within a business that has a track record of promoting from within.</p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>Reporting into the Finance Controller, the Assistant Accountant will have a wide remit of responsibilities ranging from budgeting & reforecasting, through to assisting with the production of monthly management accounts and business partnering with the Senior Leadership Team.</p><p>Duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant will include:</p><ul><li>Preparation of Accrual and Prepayments</li><li>Maintaining Fixed Asset register</li><li>Assisting with year end Financial Accounts preparation and Audit</li><li>Assisting with adhoc reports and completing financial analysis when required</li><li>Reviewing financial records and correcting inconsistencies and coding errors</li></ul><p><strong>The Candidate</strong></p><p>To be considered for the role we welcome applications from candidates with the following:</p><ul><li>Previous experience of working within a varied accounts role</li><li>AAT Level 4 Qualified</li><li>Strong attention to detail</li><li>Strong communicator and influencer</li><li>Advanced excel skills (V-look ups, pivot tables)</li></ul><p><strong>Salary & Benefits</strong></p><p>In return, the successful Assistant Accountant will receive the following:</p><ul><li>£30,000 - £33,000 base salary</li><li>Hybrid working environment</li><li>Study Support</li><li>25 days holidays</li><li>Career advancement opportunities </li><li>Friendly working environment</li></ul><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
