The business is unique and operates in the import & distribution space in a niche part of the market place. Relatively unknown in name, the company is listed and has over 35000 employees globally with approximately 700 staff in NZ. The business is continuing to expand and grow in NZ and more recently has acquired another mid sized $60-$70M business in NZ and is now in the process of integrating this business into its core portfolio.</p><p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">The Role </span></strong></p><p>In the role of Senior Finance Business Partner, You will be in a role where you need to take full ownership of supporting the operations of the business units with two sites - one in Ellerslie, one close to Auckland airport. Your key day to day responsibilities will include:</p><p> </p><ul><li>Prepare the management reporting packs to Group, with explanation of variances to budgets and forecasts but be able to tell the story of operational performance</li><li>Provide an insight into key variances where necessary, driving recommendations</li><li>Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes</li><li>Conduct comprehensive client margin, pricing and volume analysis</li><li>Support strategic initiatives providing financial advice, analysis and make recommendations to the business</li><li>Work in conjunction with other business unit controllers both in country and offshore to drive consistencies across the group and support business improvement projects</li><li>Support evaluations, due diligence and integrational processes for M&A opportunities</li><li>Provide financial oversight for contract renewals</li><li>Be an active member of the NZ finance team to aid in integrating the newly acquired business into the core systems and processes</li><li>Other ad hoc duties as required.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Your profile: </span></strong></p><p>To be considered for this role, we are looking for proven Finance Business partnering experience at a senior level. This is a role where you will have the need to work autonomously and therefore someone who is experienced and knows what good looks like and wants to help drive this culture with the Australian based CFO is paramount.
