Your key responsibilities will include:</p><ul><li>Lead, manage and develop a team of circa 20 staff in this area, ensuring a positive team culture with open co-operation and communication</li><li>Oversee the customer invoicing functions, across business units, partnering with Department heads to streamline and standardise customer invoicing processes</li><li>Liaise and partner with IT partners to ensure accurate and complete data is captured and effectively managed</li><li>Oversee the payables and receivables functions, reception and office administration/reception functions</li><li>Ensure training and development of staff is undertaken where necessary to maintain knowledge and skills for competent performance</li><li>Identify opportunities that will streamlined processes and drive out costs from the business to aid the growth of profitability</li><li>Be an active member of the Finance team leading projects to ensure budgets are met</li><li>Manage workloads and ensure use of external consultants is minimised and external resources time is properly utilised.</li><li>Manage customer relations to achieve quality outcomes</li><li>Provide consistent and timely advice, and support to the business as required on all payroll matters</li><li>Foster an environment of continuous improvement by challenging existing ways of doing business and investigating new opportunities for improvements</li><li>Ensure a strong framework of internal controls and systems</li><li>Other ad hoc duties as required.</li></ul><p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Your profile: </span></strong></p><p>To be considered for this role, we are looking for an experienced Head of Shared Services who has previous experience in running large teams across multiple disciplines in the financial administration and transactional processing functions.
