The pendulum is swinging back to pre-pandemic levels where working-from-home was an anomaly rather than an expectation. With an average of 3 days in 2024, staff are attending the office more than they have since the pandemic and this average is expected to go up in 2025. If hybrid working is no longer a possible benefit, companies who are serious about retention should consider offering flexible work hours instead. This way, staff still feel a level of autonomy in a work environment that sparks enthusiasm, not dismay.

Companies can also go beyond hybrid working by offering benefits that employees truly value.
