Data Architect<p><strong>Data Architect </strong></p><p>Data Architect needed for a complex program of work. Our client need someone to come in and establish a structured data environment from scratch. You will be there to shape everything from inception to design, as well as implementing. This will be at least three years' worth of work - we need someone who's committed for the duration.</p><p>The responsibilities of the Data Architect are: </p><ul><li>Develop and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure the integrity, quality, and security of data across integrated systems.</li><li>Define data ownership, stewardship, and accountability roles within the organization.</li><li>Establish data quality metrics and monitoring processes to assess and maintain data accuracy and consistency.</li><li>Design data architectures that support seamless integration and interoperability between disparate systems.</li><li>Define data models, schemas, and structures to facilitate efficient data storage, retrieval, and processing.</li><li>Identify integration patterns and technologies (e.g., ETL, APIs, messaging) for data exchange and synchronization.</li><li>Define data mapping and transformation rules to harmonize data formats and semantics across integrated systems.</li><li>Develop data transformation pipelines and workflows to convert data from source to target formats.</li><li>Implement data validation and cleansing processes to ensure data accuracy and completeness during integration.</li><li>Develop Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes and workflows to extract data from source systems, transform it according to business rules, and load it into target systems.</li><li>Implement data integration solutions using ETL tools, middleware, APIs, and other integration technologies.</li><li>Ensure that data integration solutions adhere to performance, scalability, and reliability requirements.</li><li>Implement data security measures to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or modification.</li><li>Enforce compliance with data privacy regulations, industry standards, and organizational policies.</li><li>Conduct data security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential risks and vulnerabilities.</li><li>Establish data quality standards and metrics to measure the accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness of data.</li><li>Implement data profiling, cleansing, and enrichment processes to improve data quality.</li><li>Monitor data quality trends and anomalies, and take corrective actions as needed to address data quality issues.</li><li>Develop master data management strategies and processes to ensure the consistency and integrity of critical data elements across integrated systems.</li><li>Define master data domains, hierarchies, and relationships to establish a single source of truth for key business entities.</li><li>Implement MDM solutions and tools to manage master data lifecycle, governance, and stewardship.</li><li>Plan and execute data migration activities to transfer data from legacy systems to new or upgraded systems.</li><li>Develop data synchronization mechanisms to keep data consistent and up to date across distributed or replicated databases.</li><li>Coordinate data migration and synchronization efforts with development, testing, and operations teams to minimize downtime and disruptions.</li><li>Provide data analysis and reporting capabilities to stakeholders for insights and decision-making.</li><li>Develop data visualization dashboards, reports, and analytics tools to facilitate data-driven decision-making.</li><li>Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to define reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights from integrated data.</li><li>Implement change management processes to track and manage changes to data structures, schemas, and integrations.</li><li>Maintain comprehensive documentation of data architectures, models, mappings, transformations, and integration processes.</li><li>Ensure that documentation is kept up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders for reference and troubleshooting purposes.</li></ul><p><em>By clicking 'apply', you give your express consent that Robert Half may use your personal information to process your job application and to contact you from time to time for future employment opportunities.
